Commonwealth, Bendigo, NAB & ANZ branches are located in the main street of Katoomba.

Books & Board Games

In our library, there is a vast collection of books and board games for your entertainment. This is a complimentary service, please be sure to return all borrowed items.

Breakfast

Breakfast is available in our restaurant between the hours of 7AM - 9:30AM everyday. Please see the Breakfast section of our Hotel Services Page for more information.

Barbeque

We have a BBQ area free for all guests to operate and use at their own accord located downstairs across the car-park.

Car Parking

Car-parking is free of charge and is available by first in first serve. The hotel will not be responsible for any damage to any vehicle in the car-park areas.

Check-Out Time

Check-out time is 10:00AM. Extensions are subject to availability and must be pre-arranged.

Emergency Exit

An evacuation plan with directional signs and instructions is located on the back of your room door. Please familiarise yourselves with the emergency exit procedures. In the event of an emergency, we ask that you please follow staff instructions.

Hotel Room Keys

Please note to keep your key with you through-out your stay and is only required to be returned to reception upon check-out.

Laundry

Unfortunately our guest laundry is out of order, soon to return in the near future.

Our sister property the Katoomba Town Centre Motel offers coin operated laundry machines and facilities.

Lost Property

Please contact reception if you have misplaced any items. The housekeeping department keeps a log of any items found on the premises for two months.

Non – Smoking Rooms

All the rooms at The Metropole Guesthouse are non-smoking. In the interest and comfort of all guests, any person wishing to smoke should do so outside using the ashtray provided. As per the property CODE OF CONDUCT (displayed at reception) if smoking in the room does occur, a fee of $250.00 will be charged for the cleaning of the soft furniture items, carpets and curtains.

Noise

The hotel’s accommodation and facilities are for all guests; please respect the comfort and wellbeing of others and keep noise at a decent level. Noise levels must be reduced by 10.00pm (or earlier if requested by staff).

Room Servicing

Rooms are serviced everyday during your stay. Please be sure to use your Do Not Disturb (Me Time) sign if you do not require a service.

Towel Change Policy: Towel’s left on the bathroom floor will be replaced by housekeeping. Towel’s left hanging up will not be replaced.

Taxi Service

We recommend Katoomba Taxis on 02 4782 1311. Please see our reception if you would like us to arrange a taxi booking for you.
